Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of DukaNow (the "Service"), a shop-management and point-of-sale application operated by ARTOTECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED ("we", "us", "our"), a company based in Moshi, Tanzania. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

DukaNow helps small shop owners ("Shops") and their staff record sales, track stock and expenses, manage customers, and request mobile-money payments from their customers. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and to operate the business you register.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to enter false or fraudulent data, to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service, or to use it in a way that harms other users.

4. Fees

DukaNow is currently in its launch phase. Any fees or subscription charges, if and when they are introduced, will be communicated to you in advance before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the applicable fees.

5. Payments between you and your customers

Where the Service is used to request a mobile-money payment, that payment is a transaction between a Shop and its own customer. DukaNow facilitates the request and confirmation through our payment provider, but the underlying sale of goods or services is between the Shop and the customer. Shops are responsible for the goods and services they sell. See our Refund Policy for how refunds are handled.

6. Your data

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ARTOTECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. You remain responsible for keeping your own records.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or where required to protect the Service or other users.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The "Last updated" date above shows when these Terms were last changed.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
